Annual Fees :
A compulsory federal aikido membership licence fee (FFAB) of € 35 is required in addition to an annual course fee of € 115.
The total amount of annual fees are the same regardless of the number of training sessions per week. As a rule, courses are held from mid-September to late June.
A compulsory “Medical Certificate” is required by the Aikido Association from all members, certifying that there is no medical contraindication for Aikido practice.
Children’s courses are not available. Both adults and teenagers aged at least 16 practice together.
For further information on training and enrolment procedure please do not hesitate to come and visit during a training session. You are also most welcome to visit our club for a free trial lesson and become more familiar with Aïkido training in our club.
Training kimonos (keigogi) must be worn in Aikido practice. Judo kimonos are just as adequate. Aikido weapons are also used while training, such as a bokken (wooden sword), a jo (wooden stick) and a tanto (wooden dagger). A hakama (broad, black or indigo trousers) is worn by third graders. Note : weapons are necessary but it is not compulsory to buy them for the first lessons, beginners shall be temporarily provided with weapons by the club.
Carte M’ra: a sports partnership agreement has been signed with the Conseil Régional du Rhône allowing 16 to 25-year-old holders of Carte M’ra to apply for a partial waiver of their fees (€ 30).
